Everest Base Camp Trek Permit And Regulation
We require a TIMS card and Sagarmatha National Park entry. You’d better collect TIMS in Kathmandu through a trekking company and you will be collecting Sagarmatha National Park entry at Monjo while we are entering Sagarmatha National Park after Phakding. We do not get the entry if we fail to collect both entries. Again, we may have to display these entries on the way to and on our return, so please keep it safe or your trekking leader will handle it.
Everest Base Camp Food And Accommodation
Accommodation in Everest Base Camp Trekking will be very normal. We will be spending the nights at the guesthouse or teahouse. The beddings and bathrooms will be normal. The bathrooms normally will be outside. But the beds and rooms will be very clean.
We will be provided with the menu at the guesthouse or teahouse and we have to find out the item that we like. One item of the good normally will cost form 3-8 $. The popular food items in the Everest region are Tibetan bread, rice, curry, Thukpa, and Tendu.
Communication
Everest Base Camp Trek route has good coverage of network and the trekkers even can make the call from Everest Base Camp. And in the guest house, we have Wifi access in major places like Lukla, Namche, and Tengboche. After that, we do not have good access to Wifi.
For making the call, trekker access network with local SIM card either NTC or NCELL. They can get it in Kathmandu and buy data to run Wifi or make the call on the way. And for one Wifi password, the guest may ask you for 200-500 Nepali rupees.
Money Exchange
We get money exchange service at three places while making the trek to Everest Base Camp. These two places are Kathmandu, Lukla, and Namche. Most of the trekkers exchange their money in Kathmandu and prepare Nepali currency for the trip. Sometimes, the preplanned Nepali currency may not be sufficient and they need to exchange currency on the way. If you need to exchange currency, please do it either in Lukla or in Namche.
