Manaslu Trek without the guide:
As per the declaration by the government, Manaslu Trek is a restricted area trekking region so every trekker is required to take a special permit and can not do Manaslu trek without a guide. So to trek in this area every trekker is compulsory to take either guide or porter.
Manaslu trek in Nepal:
Manaslu is the eighth highest mountain in the world situated at 8163m above sea level in the west-central part of Nepal. The meaning of Manaslu is the “ Mountain Of Spirit “ derive from Sanskrit. This mountain was first climbed by Japanese Climber Toshio Imanishi and Gyalzen Norbu on May 9th, 1956. So that Manaslu is recognized as Japanese Mountain. The local heritage, Flora and Fauna, and the biological diversity of this region really please the tourists.
How long is the Manaslu Trek:
Manaslu trekking is the Strenuous trek. It takes 2 weeks to complete the major Pass called Larke La Pass which is 5100m. During this trip, trekkers will have a chance to experience the most off the beaten trails and the remote lifestyle of the people of this region
When to do Manaslu Trek:
Most trekkers are aware of the climate when trekking at the Manaslu trekking region. So before you decided to trek in Manaslu. Here are some tips on it. So if you are planning to trek in Jun, July, and August the trail will be slippery because of the rain. If you are planning to trek in September to mid-December the weather will be clear for a perfect mountain view. So this is the perfect time to trek for Manaslu. Similarly, if you are planning to trek from late December to early March the weather is very cold you have to trek on snow cover trails and are too risky to reach Manaslu Base Camp. Overall all the lodge at Dharmasala is not open due to the frozen weather.
Is Manaslu Trek Difficulty:
Due to the development of new trails the trek isn’t as difficult as it used to be before. But this doesn’t mean it is easy to the level of the trek. You have to walk ups and downs through rough trails above the Budi Gandaki River. So Physical Fitness is necessary to complete this trek successfully.
Trek to Manaslu Circuit Trek:
This trek takes you to the most remote area of the Manaslu region and the trip offers you the marvelous view of mount Manasalu along with other snow-capped peaks on the horizon. During this trip, trekkers will have a chance to experience the most off the beaten trails and the remote lifestyle of the people of this region. Manaslu base camp trekking area is not much facilitated as other trekking regions like Everest, Annapurna, and Langtang. Despite being remote and restricted area trekking, it has been fascinating for tourists for years.
Manaslu Circuit Trek Permit:
A declaration of the Government Manaslu Trekking Region is a restricted area to trek. A special permit needs to apply. So individual traveler is not allowed in this area to trek. There must be at least 2 trekkers for the permit to get.
