Visit Nepal 2020 is an initiative presented by the Nepal Tourism Board to welcome 2 million and more tourists each year in Nepal. After the successful completion of "Visit Nepal Year 1998" and "Nepal Tourism Year 2011", the Nepal Tourism Board came up with this campaign. Initially, the campaign was reported in 2015 to be held in 2018 but due to the devastating earthquake of 2015 postponed it to 2020.
The main motto of this campaign is to promote that Nepal is a safe place to travel and 7 states and 77 districts were affected by the earthquake of 2015.
To make this initiative successful the Nepal government is propelling in speed to increase its infrastructures like more international and domestic airports, construction of roads and landmarks. Along with these private sectors are also working to increases their hospitality services around Nepal by building more 3 & 4 stars hotels and lodges to accommodate more tourists.
